Mobile World Congress 2023: What we expect to see
Mobile World Congress is the biggest mobile technology event of the year, and we’re less than a week away from MWC 2023 in Barcelona. This is also the first offline MWC event in the past few years since the pandemic halted travel. MWC has become a platform for companies to showcase their new products, mostly phones, while some use the event to showcase their upcoming concept models. So what can we expect at MWC 2023 this year from brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo and Huawei among others?
Global unveiling of the Xiaomi 13 series
Xiaomi has already confirmed that the new Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be presented on February 26 and will then be part of its lineup at MWC 2023. Xiaomi announced its collaboration with Leica and while it introduced the Xiaomi 12S Ultra last year, the Xiaomi 13 series is the first to be offered globally. Xiaomi also brings new flagship phones to the Indian market. We’re excited to see what the Leica partnership has in store, especially after getting a closer look at the cameras on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
Realme 240W Charging Boost
Realme is also part of MWC 2023 this month, and the company has teased its new 240W charging technology for smartphones. This new technology is likely to come with the Realme GT 3 model, which many believe is the global variant of the Realme GT Neo 5 that recently arrived in China. The company may have other big things to share that we’ll find out next week.
OnePlus 11 Concept Teaser
OnePlus will bring its new concept model to MWC 2023 this month. The OnePlus 11 concept was first announced earlier this month on the sidelines of the Cloud 11 OnePlus event. And this week, we’ve received a teaser video from the company that gives us more information about this concept device. The OnePlus 11 concept is likely to have a transparent design with blue LEDs flashing in the tubes.
Oppo Find N2 Flip Showcase
Oppo launched the Find N2 Flip recently and the company is bringing a new model to the event. Apart from this, Oppo will also introduce IoT products and some new technologies. We look forward to seeing what they are and find out next week.
Honor shows its strength
Honor devices have been sidelined ever since they lost access to the Google Play Store. But the company is expected to show off its big guns at MWC 2023, which could also feature a foldable model.
